MoMA PS1

MoMA PS1 is the experimental sister of MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), one of the most prestigious modern art museums in the world. MoMA PS1 focusses on contemporary art and pays attention to upcoming talent and new, edgy work of established artists. It’s located in an old school building in the Queens neighbourhood Long Island City, a fifteen minutes subway ride from Manhattan.

MoMA PS1 organizes all kinds of events and activities. There are regular Sunday Sessions, with live performances including music, dance or spoken word. In summer months you can dance in the courtyard during the now legendary Warm Up Saturdays. During Warm Up the museum introduces you to the best experimental music, sound art and DJ’s in different genres.
