This quiet, green oasis is a popular spot to escape the crowds and the pressing heat of the city. Joggers run their course, couples linger on the park benches, there are yoga classes and walkers admire the well-kept flower beds. You’ll see tombs, mosques and other monuments from the Mughul era all through Lodi Gardens. The park’s name derives from the four monuments from the Lodi dynasty around which it is built. Sultan Ibrahim Lodi was the last sultan of Delhi from the Lodi dynasty, before he was defeated by Babur, the first ruler of the Mughal empire.
