This chaotic shopping street in Old Delhi has been a popular market for three centuries. The market was designed in the 17th century by the daughter of Shah Jahan and has been a shopper’s paradise for over three hundred years. The street is a pandemonium of colours, smells and sounds. Stores filled with colourful saris, scarves, fabrics and clothes. Stalls full of flower garlands, spices and jewellery. Street sellers pushing carts with chai, chaat and pakora. Rickshaw, cars, motor bikes and thousands of pedestrians. It stimulates all the senses and you’ll either want to run screaming or move in.
