The 2nd city of Ibiza is the port of Ibiza and became known as "Portus Magnus" by the Romans. And that port is impressive! Except that you can marvel on the many yachts of the rich, you'll also be overwhelmed by all products offered by the different (souvenir)shops. The promenade, with fountain, flower beds and couches, is crowded but cozy.
At the beginning of the promenade stands the modern sculpture 'Egg of Columbus’. This artwork is a tribute to Christopher Columbus, who was born in Sant Antoni according to the inhabitants of Ibiza. And here again the bars alternate with the restaurants. Besides, the locals complain sometimes about drunken Englishmen ... but don't let that be a problem!
