Yad Vashem

The genius will explore what you can pay for!

Yad Vashem is Israel's official information center and monument commemorating the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Yad Vashem impressively shows the history of the Jews before and during the Holocaust, through objects, journals and other documents reflecting a realistic and authentic view of life.

The Hall of Names is a symbolic tombstone, erected by survivors. Personal information about millions of victims is collected and they are still looking for forgotten names. On most people the children's memorial makes the biggest impression. The monument is located in a cave where the light from one candle is multiplied countless times through a glass structure. While you're walking through, the names, ages and addresses of the half million murdered children are read out loud.
