Wer-Haus

The genius will explore what you can pay for!

* Tip from Ariana Diaz Celma, blogger Good2be (www.good2b.es)

Recently, a real concept store is opened. The former garage on Aragó 287 is now a multi-space and a meeting point for lovers of men’s fashion (soon there’ll be women’s fashion, too), contemporary photography, gastronomy and good coffee. This new concept store could as well be in Williamsburg or Kreuzberg, with that industrial air afforded by the elements of the former garage, such as glassware and gates, though mixed with the warmth given by wood and an incredible display of plants.

Passed the outdoor tables that welcome guests into Wer-Haus and its vertical garden, there is the first compartments of this multi-space, the art gallery devoted to contemporary photo exhibitions. There is also a wonderful selection of art books in general and of photography in particular. Down the hall there’s the cafe and restaurant to have breakfast, sandwiches and homemade cakes that mutate into sophisticated tapas and a careful selection of wines from 17:00 pm until closing at 21:00 pm.

As for clothes, there you’ll find basics by Sunspel or Polish firm MISBHV, as well as Etude Studio -that originally skate brand that turned into a streetwear label with more graphics. There are also more sophisticated labels like CMMN, from Sweden, or Petrus Marius and Lemaire from Belgium and accessories made in Germany by pb010010. Wer Haus also offers a small selection of magazines, including Hero, Dazed, and Another.
