Culture park Westergasfabriek

The genius will explore what you can pay for!

Near the Jordan in Amsterdam, the Spaarndammerbuurt, you'll find the culture park Westergasfabriek, which was used to in the 60's to produce gas from coal. Today it stands on the monument list and it is a combination of a park and many sites where creative businesses are located. There is also space for large and small events, and there are several catering, film, theater and exhibition venues. So is held here for instance the Amsterdam International Fashion Week and there are regular concerts. A number of rooms is available for pop-up studios, so their supply varies so.

Westerpark itself is a beautiful natural park where many runners are running their laps, although many just relax strolling a bit. In summer it is lovely to lie on the grass by the water and if you're lucky sunbathing. Regularly there is a festival or concert going. Also, there is a fair once a year. A perfect place for a day out for everyone.
