The Sistine Chapel has two main claims to fame. It is the place where the conclave transpire, where the cardinals elect a new pope, and it is the place where two of the finest works of Michelangelo - and perhaps anyway two of the finest works – can be seen: the ceiling painting The Creation and the Last Judgement above the altar. In addition, there is a serie of frescoes from Botticelli, Pinturicchio, Perugino and Roselli which reflect the life of Moses and Christ.
