This magnificent temple dedicated to the sea is a real eye-opener: built in the early 20th century, it houses the collections that Prince Albert I, the Explorer Prince, brought back from his various scientific trips around the planet and notably from the Arctic. The collection consists of more than 90 tanks or aquariums with about 4,500 fish and 450 species .
The museum also houses a wonderful aquarium with a giant shark tank and plenty of Mediterranean fish species and you can enjoy a spectacular view over the coastline from the roof terrace.
