Put on your hiking shoes and visit Arthur's Seat, the rocky top of the extinct volcano that adorns the skyline of Edinburgh. It'll take you about 45 minutes to walk up. The fantastic views from the top more than make up for the climb. You'll also find a well-preserved 2000 years old fort up there.
