Working class neighbourhood Marollen is one of the nicest districts of Brussels. In the Middle Ages Marollen was located outside the city walls. Here the city lepers were collected in the Mary Colentes Monastery. Today it is a lively neighbourhood, where you can look around in the many art studios, shops with antiques and brocante and the daily flea market at Jeu de Balles (Place du Jeu de Balle). You can have something to eat or drink in the many little cafes, brasseries or restaurants.
Address: south of the Palace of Justice around the Voorzorgsstraat, the Priestersstraat and the Montserratstraat.
